To See Role Model You Need To Incorporate Being An Actual Role Model
Being a Redskins fan is hard work, especially over the last fifteen years. On one side, we have the best tight end in the league in Chris Cooley- who sells sweat pants via his website, that say on the backside, “tight end.” Simple marketing associations are often the best. On the other hand, we’ve been up and down record wise and can’t seem to get back to the level of getting to that NFC title game. But what’s remained constant is that requirement to hate Dallas, and by default hate their QB, Tony Romo.
Seems easy enough. But finding out he took a homeless man to the movies makes it hard to have that many ill feelings towards him- at least this week. And he took him to see Role Models, which I’m trying to read into as being some sort of metaphor for his stance on the expectations people put on him for just playing football, but the only thing I’ve deduced is that he probably thinks Paul Rudd is funny and doesn’t like going to the movies alone.
Fact: The first movie I ever saw in the theatre alone was “Twister.”
