People, it’s not tough to figure out why Michael Johns left. His genre - rock type guy - is the only one that had competition.
Kristy Lee Cook - the country audience
Syesha - the R&B crooner audience
David Archuleta - the Josh Groban audience
Brooke White - the baby-boomer, Joni Mitchell audience. or at least the over 35 crowd.
Carly Smithson - the half rocker / half vocalist crowd. ie. those who don’t pay attention to one form.
Jason Castro - the Jack Johnson / college crowd.
David Cook - the other rocker, who people like better.
When you break it down like this, Michael Johns was bound to leave. Sorry. Too similar, thus one will be weeded out faster.
